Plans, coordinates, and heads working groups in the development, planning, and execution of Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) programs, projects, and activities. Interfaces with stakeholders, identifies and understands their program goals and needs, and develops best-value solutions. Develops systems integration solutions and extends system models using existing requirements, interface documentation, and related design and systems engineering documents, working with commercial MBSE tools.
Responsibilities
- Participate in integrating or converting from document-based to model-based architectures, and participates in restructuring existing models
- Collaborate with the engineering and interdisciplinary research team, contribute to and supporting the development of reference or system-level architectures for acquisition or operational systems
- Manage the execution of the systems engineering process, including interfaces, key performance parameters, and operational concepts
- Develop, update, and maintain MBSE training and tool integration based on programmatic needs; and provide guidance and mentorship for MBSE tools and processes
- Provide MBSE expertise and related support to the entire systems engineering team; and communicate with program leaders, including Chief Engineers, System Architects, and Program Managers
