We are seeking an experienced
Infoblox Architect to design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade DNS, DHCP, and IP Address Management (DDI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Infoblox platforms and a strong background in network architecture, security, and automation. This role is critical in ensuring high availability, scalability, and security of core network services.
This position is on a flex work schedule, meaning more hours may need to be put in one week and balanced with less another week occasionally.
Responsibilities
- Design and architect scalable and resilient DDI solutions using Infoblox technologies
- Lead the deployment, configuration, and maintenance of Infoblox appliances and services
- Develop and enforce IP address management strategies and governance
- Integrate Infoblox with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid environments
- Collaborate with network, security, and infrastructure teams to align architecture with business needs
- Automate DDI operations using APIs, scripting (Python, Ansible), and orchestration tools
- Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and system upgrades
- Troubleshoot complex DNS/DHCP/IPAM issues and provide root cause analysis
- Maintain documentation for architecture, processes, and configurations
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
Requirements
- US Citizenship
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 10+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 5+ years focused on Infoblox
- Strong expertise in DNS, DHCP, and IPAM concepts and best practices
- Hands-on experience with Infoblox NIOS platform
- Knowledge of network security principles and DNS-based threats
- Experience with automation tools and scripting (Python, REST APIs)
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Desired Skills
- Infoblox Certified Architect (ICA) or related certifications
- Experience with cloud networking and integrations (AWS Route 53, Azure DNS, etc.)
- Familiarity with DevOps practices and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
- Knowledge of security frameworks and compliance standards
- Experience in large enterprise or service provider environments
