Data Architect
Our Partner is looking for an experienced Data Architect to design, data model, govern, and optimize Enterprise Data Architecture within Databricks Lakehouse Platform.

Responsibilities
- Databricks architecture, design, and model (60% of the time)
- Gather and analyze requirements (20% of the time)
- Monitor and troubleshoot data jobs (10% of the time)
- Document processes and workflows (10% of the time)
- US Citizenship
- Secret Clearance
- Ability to produce and maintain source-to-target mapping documentation
- Design logical and physical data models for the Databricks Lakehouse, including dimensional models and medallion architecture (bronze/silver/gold layers)
- Strong data modeling skills, including dimensional modeling (facts, dimensions, slowly changing dimensions 1/2/3). Design entity-relationship diagrams (ERDs), star/snowflake schemas, fact and dimension tables
- Design gold-layer schema (star schema, fact/dimension, or aggregate models) aligned to KPI requirements
- Partner with data engineers to review pipeline designs for adherence to architectural and modeling standards. Advise on Databricks platform features and Lakehouse best practices, recommending adoption where relevant
- Familiarity with the Agile process
- Databricks Certification preferred
- Knowledge of and experience with DoD
- Familiar with Customer and/or DoD IT architectures
- Federal experience
- Experience in post go-live production support and break/fix
- Focus on customer service and responsiveness, with sound customer handling skills
- Experience working within AWS Gov Cloud
- Experience working migrating code from non-accredited to accredited environments within AWS
